Among the many Loyolites who distinguished themselves at the national and state levels during this period are: Jayendran S., Jian Johnson, Anoop Sankar, Thaseem T. and Rex Thomas who won the Hindu Young World and India Cultural Quiz at the national level and ISC and ICSE quizzes at the state level in 2001 (the Jayendran-Jian team finishing as runner up in the Hindu Young World Quiz in 2002 and again in 2003); Jayakrishnan who secured the first rank in Kerala Engineering Entrance exam in 2001; Varun Murali and Jayendran S. who were the national runner-up in the prestigious ESPN Sports Quiz at Delhi in 2002; Kishor Govind Nayar, Ashique Siyad, Hari Sankar V., Avinesh Vasudevan, Mishel Johns, and Sriram P. who won the first National Aerospace Olympiad in 2007; Vineeth Krishnan and Vishnu M.J. who stood first in the National ISC Quiz in 2007, Aju Basil James who teamed up with Leo Francis to lift the National ICSE quiz trophy in 2007; Achuth Vasudevan and Aju Basil James who were the national champions in Aqua Regia Quiz at Hyderabad in 2007, Arjun Shajan and Rahul Krishnan who were the runner-up in the ICSE National Junior quiz in 2007; Yadhu Aravind Menon who won the Sastra Prathibha award in 2007, Paul Mathew T. who was the national first in the 7th Cyber Olympiad in 2009, Dany John Selvan who won the national championship in Fencing in 2006 and Sandeep Prakash who got into the national school cricket team the same year, and a good number of K.V.P.Y and NTS scholars and many quiz wizards who brought home to Loyola a large number of trophies.

On the academic front, the results of the Board exams continued to be enviable throughout the first decade of this century — producing seven state-level rank holders in just two years— Kishor Govind Nayar and Manoj P. sharing the first rank in ISC Science and Gokul Suresh and Nidhin R. coming second and third, respectively, in the ICSE exam of 2009; Ben Thomas and Kiran George Koshy securing the first and second rank, respectively, in the ISC exam in 2010 and Ambareesh S.J. coming second in the ICSE exam in 2010.

In the arena of sports and games too, the period has memorable achievements. In 2003, 26 students of Loyola played in the tournament conducted by MCC Club Colombo, Sri Lanka, and the U-19 and U-14 teams won
